NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe publically revealed his plans for an impending departure from FS1's flagship morning show on May 31st. Since then, rumors have been swirling about his possible replacement on Undisputed, across the debate table from the iconic Skip Bayless. In-house names such as Joy Taylor, Nick Wright, and LeSean McCoy have been mentioned as candidates. On the flip side, Shannon Sharpe may soon be fielding offers from the likes of ESPN, Fan Duel, and more.
On Wednesday morning, the hottest free agent in sports television gave his followers on social media a brief behind-the-scenes tour of the Fox Studios Lot in Los Angeles as he geared up for his final episode of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed—a show that he has co-hosted for the past seven years.
The man fans nicknamed "Unc" posted the BTS footage on Instagram with the following caption.
"After 7 great years, yesterday I took my seat for the last time on [Skip and Shannon: Undisputed]," Shannon wrote. "Though I may not be at that particular table when you turn on your television, if you click through the channels I’m sure you’ll find me somewhere. I’m forever grateful for everyone who extended their hand to get me to who and where I am today. I continue to redefine myself as we all should. I can remember back to draft day and how being in the Hall of Fame never crossed my mind. What God has for you is truly for you. God is truly blessing me and everyone around me beyond what HIS eye can see, not mine. Thank you to everyone who came out, sent messages, thoughts, prayers. Nothing went unnoticed. This is no end just the beginning of something new. The work is never done."
