The Denver Nuggets celebrated their 2023 NBA championship with their city on Thursday, but things took a somber turn when a police officer was struck during the parade requiring medical attention.
According to reports, a firetruck struck the officer but it's unclear exactly how things went down. The video also shows Nuggets stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray being escorted off of the firetruck following the accident.
Denver police updated the status of the injured officer reporting that he suffered a "serious lower leg injury" and was in "serious and stable condition."
