After much condemnation for kissing Sukihana against her wishes, YK Osiris issued a public apology that evoked mixed reactions. Meek Mill and Taxstone came to his defense while Sukihana's mother was unsurprisingly skeptical of the public gesture. On the heels of YK Osiris's apology and the subsequent reactions, Sukihana has issued her own statement where she accepts the singer's apology.

Sukihana noted that YK Osiris apologized to her in private in addition to his public apology. Among other things, Sukihana said she prays he uses this experience as a lesson in respecting others' boundaries and made it explicit that her accepting of his apology was in no way an absolution of his actions.

What's more, her caption on the posted statement read, in part, that "I'm a pro black woman and I'm not into tearing down black men," and concluding with "I would like to move on from this."
