More details are being released in Boosie's federal gun case after a criminal complaint was unsealed by a judge on Friday (June 16).

In the documents, federal prosecutors detailed Boosie's original arrest by San Diego police on May 6. This resulted from an officer watching an Instagram Live of a “known Neighborhood Crip gang member" they were monitoring. Boosie was tagged in the livestream, which led the officer to watch Boosie's page, where he was also doing a livestream in an area they described as being "associated with the Neighborhood Crip criminal street gang."

In the livestream, officers noticed what appeared to be a gun in Boosie's waistband, which led to officers using an "Airborne Law Enforcement Unit" to track him down. After San Diego police located Boosie, they pulled over a black SUV, where he was riding in the back. Boosie allegedly told the officers that his security guard had a single gun in the vehicle. Officers then searched the vehicle, and in the back seat, they found a gun matching the one they claimed Boosie had on him in the livestream.

Federal prosecutors then added, "During processing, Hatch yelled at his security, and asked why the security guard told the detective the gun was on the seat. SDPD officers heard Hatch tell his security, 'You told me they were in the bag.' This statement demonstrated Hatch’s knowledge of the firearms in the Mercedes."

Boosie was arrested by the ATF on Wednesday (June 14) for being a felon in possession of a weapon after his state-level gun charges were dismissed in court. He made his initial appearance on Thursday, but a bail hearing was pushed back until June 19.
