The Ball Brothers were basketball royalty. As a teenage trio at Chino Hills High School, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LeMelo led the Huskies to a 35-0 record en route to a State Championship in 2015-16. A combination of their prowess on the court and a whirlwind of media attention helped their father, LaVar, parley their fame into the Big Baller Brand, a reality TV series on Facebook, and countless business endeavors overseas. Since Lonzo Ball was drafted number two overall in the 2017 NBA draft, all three brothers have signed with the league in one capacity or another. LeMelo is on the verge of becoming a superstar with the Charlotte Hornets, while the future of his older brothers in the league appears to be in question.
Nevertheless, with a strong bloodline in the world of sports that dates back to LaVar's professional career with the Carolina Panthers, LiAngelo just added to their legacy with the announcement that Nikki Mudarris will be giving birth to their first child. LiAngelo, who currently plays for the Greensboro Swam (a developmental affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets) revealed that they plan on naming the boy LaVelo Ball--a mix of his dad's name and his brother's name.
