Gunna dropped A Gift & A Curse, his first album since his release after taking an Alford Plea in the YSL RICO case last year, on Friday (June 16).
On the track "I Was Just Thinking," Gunna addresses "snitch" allegations, and he also shared his sorrows over Young Thug still being locked up. He raps, "That’s four walls talkin’ to you, tellin’ you you gone/ Only I done criеd, ’cause this feelin’ for my bro (King Slime)/ And you know my mind, you done watched that n***a grow/ I know you hear the lies, it’s your lil’ brother, my folk/ Yeah, I had popped out, but don’t let ’em say I told."
Many people close to Young Thug severed ties with Gunna after it was revealed that he took the Alford plea in the case, but Young Thug has yet to speak out publicly against Gunna.
On Friday, Young Thug shared a mysterious countdown clock via QR code on his Instagram page, which many took as an album announcement. Various artists shared the code, including producers Metro Boomin, London on da Track, Southside, and Wheezy. Drake, G Herbo, 21 Savage, and Chance The Rapper also reposted the link. Now, Gunna showed his support for Young Thug by doing the same.

Young Thug's name has been in headlines concerning his YSL RICO case, but he turned the attention of fans to a possible new project after posting a mysterious QR code on Instagram on Friday (June 16).
The post was captioned, "BUSINESS IS BUSINESS," and the code led to a countdown clock that is set to end next Friday (June 23). Rumors of a new musical project began surfacing, seemingly confirmed after producer Metro Boomin shared the code and a handshake and suitcase emoji. London On Da Track followed suit with the "100" emoji. 808 Mafia producer Southside, Wheezy, and Chase B also shared the post.
