On Sunday night, Bebe Rexha, a Grammy Award-nominated artist from New York City, was struck in the face by a cell phone after a fan chucked it at her during a live performance. The incident happened around 10 pm at a venue called The Rooftop at Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan. Video of the occurrence has already gone viral as it depicts the 33-year-old getting hit so hard by the object that it caused her to fall to the ground. According to reports, she was rushed to a nearby hospital shortly thereafter, where she received stitches. She later posted a selfie of her black eye on Instagram with a caption that read, "I'm good."

Law enforcement arrested Nicolas Malvagna (27) in connection with the incident. The New Jersey native has been charged with assault.
