For Chicago rapper Lil Jay, his troubles with the law date as far back as 2015, when he was arrested on gun charges and jailed for seven years. Approximately 90 days after his release, Lil Jay was apprehended by law enforcement for another gun charge along with murder conspiracy and more. He was sentenced to 12 years behind bars, where he remains for the transgressions.

According to reports, Lil Jay recently suffered a broken leg after jumping from the upper level of the prison in a desperate attempt to escape his rivals during a brutal attack. It is believed that he forewarned the prison staff about the danger he was in prior to entering their facility and his concerns were ignored.
