Prior to the latest development, Boosie called out one of the federal prosecutors and claimed he was mocked over his hit single, "Wipe Me Down." Boosie has reportedly been granted bond in his gun case, according to VladTV sources. While details of his bond have not been released, court documents related to his case have been unsealed.
The above document confirms earlier reports about the rapper's charges coming as a result of his May 6 arrest in San Diego, California. Boosie became the focus of San Diego police after one officer observed the rapper on Instagram Live with a "known Neighborhood Crip gang member."
While viewing Boosie on Instagram Live, law enforcement reportedly spotted a gun in Boosie's waistband, which led to officers using an "Airborne Law Enforcement Unit" to track him down. After pulling Boosie over in a black SUV, officers found the gun matching the one seen in the video.
After the case was dismissed on the state level, Boosie was arrested by the ATF on June 14 for being a felon in possession of a weapon. Boosie's previous felony came in 2011 when he was convicted of bringing illegal contraband into a penal institution, criminal conspiracy to incite a felony, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
