More information in the YNW Melly double murder case has surfaced as the prosecution brought up new evidence against the rapper.
According to evidence shown during the trial, Melly allegedly sent text messages to his mother before and after the murders. The rapper’s mother—Jamie King, texted about one of the alleged victims, YNW Sakchaser, ahead of his death.
Other messages presented in screenshots found YNW Melly asking his mother to “Get me a Glock ASAP.” King reportedly wrote back, “Ok, what’s wrong? I got your .45.” Melly responded. “I just don’t want no illegal gun.” These details come after a judge denied a motion for mistrial filed by his legal team. Stay tuned for more updates.
