According to reports, prosecutors in Cook County have dropped the charges against a 35-year-woman named Carlisha Hood and her son after they were charged with first-degree murder from an incident that went down at a fast food spot in West Pullman.
The woman, who was a valid concealed carry license holder when the situation went down, was also charged with contributing to a minor's delinquency. The shooting of 32-year-old Jeremy Brown was caught on tape after Brown was seen punching Hood in her head three times after an argument they had while in line for food. Brown was shot in the back, then shot more after trying to flee the restaurant. Prosecutors say Hood instructed her son to continue shooting at the man. Brown would later die from injuries sustained in the shooting.
Now, it has been revealed that prosecutors dropped charges against Hood and her son after Hood was previously being held on a $3 million bond following being charged last week. Hood’s son was reportedly charged as a juvenile and held without bail. It was noted that Hood and her son previously had no criminal record. Stay tuned for more updates.
