As YNW Melly's double murder trial continues, Assistant State Attorney Kristine Bradley called Sgt. Christopher Williams to the stand to share his conclusion about the shooting that killed YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.
The jury was previously shown surveillance footage of Melly, YNW Bortlen, Juvy, and Sakchaser getting into a Jeep Compass. Melly was in the left rear seat next to Sakchaser, while Bortlen was driving, and Juvy was in the front passenger seat. Medical examiners previously testified in the trial about both Juvy and Sakchaser being shot from the left side.
Williams told the courtroom, "My determination was that this was not a drive-by shooting," and he went on to describe how he determined Juvy and Sakchaser were killed. Williams explained that Juvy, sitting in the front passenger seat, was shot at close range on the left in the "middle of his cheek" while facing forward. Williams added, "Part of the wound had an abrasion ring on it."
