DC rapper Migo Lee was one of twelve people indicted in a drug trafficking bust in the city that the Department of Justice is accusing of operating an open-air drug market. 

The 22-year-old rapper and 11 others were charged with conspiring to distribute several controlled substances, including fentanyl, cocaine base, and marijuana. Over 400 grams of fentanyl, 100 kilograms of marijuana, and one kilogram of cocaine were confiscated in the bust.

The group is also charged with conspiring to utilize firearms, including fully automatic weapons. During the investigation, law enforcement seized more than 40 firearms, including eight suspected machine guns.

The names of those indicted were revealed to be 27-year-old Kenneth Ademola Olugbenga; 22-year-old Khali Ahmed Brown, also known as “Migo Lee”; 21-year-old Miasiah Jamal Brown, also known as “Michael Jamal Crawford”; 23-year-old Tristan Miles Ware, also known as “Greedy”; 23-year-old Herman Eric-Bibmin Signou, also known as “Herman Signour”; 26-year-old Cameron Xavier Reid; 27-year-old Aaron Deandre Mercer, also known as “Curby”; 30-year-old David Penn, also known as “Turtle”; 29-year-old Ronald Lynn Dorsey, also known as “Ron G”; 22-year-old Antonio Reginald Bailey, also known as “Boy Boy,” also known as “Fellow King”; 27-year-old Anthony Trayon Bailey, also known as “Fat Ant,” also known as “Bizzle”; 29-year-old Angel Enrique Suncar, also known as “Coqui.”

MPD Interim Chief Ashan Benedict addressed the indictment during a press conference, "These individuals were part of a criminal enterprise that existed to disrupt the community through violence and illegal activity, and today’s operation is evidence that intelligence-led policing and effective criminal justice partnerships can lead to positive outcomes in the District of Columbia. The residents and businesses along our Kennedy Street corridor are safer because of the meticulous investigative efforts by law enforcement who relentlessly protect every city neighborhood."
