Billboard released their list of the 50 greatest hip-hop groups of all time, which featured Public Enemy, Salt-N-Pepa, De La Soul, and The Roots in the top 10.
At the top of the list were Atlanta legends Big Boi and André 3000 of OutKast. Billboard stated that "OutKast set the gold standard for rap groups," adding that André and Big Boi "mostly circled out of each other’s creative lives."
Like with their 50 greatest rappers list, Billboard released the entries in batches. The top 10 were released on Wednesday (June 28), and are as follows:
