Drake recently announced that he would be releasing a poetry book created with songwriter Kenza Samir. The book is named ’Titles Ruin Everything,’ and reportedly focuses on relationships and more. Since then, COMPLEX has had New York Times best-selling authors and award-winning poets critique the Canadian rapper’s poetry, with the reviewers seemingly panning the book. New York Times best-selling author Hanif Abdurraqib said, “Some of these are so absurd that they’re actually funny,” before calling them “silly lil’ jokes.”
Since then, Drake has taken to Instagram to respond to the criticism. The rapper responded by saying, “Randomly angry poets: blahagaggagesvachjsksyavsvvehevehebwgabvqvqqvwww.” From there, he added “Me:” before posting a picture of Sue Johanson, a sex educator who was once on ‘Degrassi,’ the rapper’s former TV show he starred in.
