According to reports, police in Bangor, Maine, found a live deer impaled on a spiked fence on Stephen King's property. The award-winning horror writer has a gothic-themed mansion that is surrounded by a spiked fence. When the officers arrived, the deer was trapped in between the fencing area that separated King's estate from the public sidewalk. The Bangor Police Department determined that the deer attempted to leap over the fence before meeting its demise. In response, law enforcement was legally obligated to euthanize deer.
