Lil Wayne recently spoke to legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis for their ‘HawkVsWolf’ podcast and asked the rapper about different skateboarding experiences during his time participating in the sport.
Wayne went on to tell a story about how his passion for skating in front of his peers in the music world caused some of them to get injured. Wayne noted Ty Dolla $ign was one of those people. The rapper spoke about Ty sending him a photo of himself in a “hospital bed with tubes.”
The Young Money rapper thought the singer was shot, but was noted by Ty that the situation happened by saying, “man, messing with you.” Wayne explained to Hawk that Ty sent him footage trying to drop into a mini-ramp while on a skateboard, saying, “He dropped in and ate s**t.” Watch above.
