Jordan Poole's popularity in the Golden State Warrirors locker room was at a reported low when he was traded to the Washington Wizards in favor of an aging Chris Paul.
According to Logan Murdock of The Ringer, “All the established guys had some version of a problem with Jordan Poole, whether it was Klay ironically saying that Jordan doesn’t pass the ball enough and shoots too much,” he said. “And then you have Draymond [Green], who sees Jordan as this guy is like, yeah, I did punch him. I did do all these things, but now I don’t have a voice within the locker room because of what happened.”
The infamous Draymond Green punch was the scene which loomed over Poole's stay in Golden State this season but was only a microcosm of a larger rift with the team. Not to mention, by trading Poole at this point, the Warriors are off the hook on the 4-year extension that made Poole upwards of $100 million.
