Swizz Beatz Reveals Why DMX Rarely Had Guest Appearances on His Albums

DMX’s legacy has been held up by fans and friends of the artist, including former collaborator Swizz Beatz, who recently spoke on why X didn’t include many features on his albums. 

While speaking to Fox 5 New York, Swizz said, “The reason he didn’t like so many features is cause he was just competitive as an artist.” The producer continued saying, “He only wanted people on his album he was a real big fan of. And mind you, X wasn’t a fan of too many rap artists. He was a fan of Earth, Wind & Fire, he was a fan of R&B music.” Watch above.
