According to The National Safety Council, July 4th is the bloodiest day of the year in the United States of America. From murders to car wrecks and accidents involving fireworks, the celebratory holiday has become a nightmarish time of the year for Mayors all over the country. In the days leading up to the 4th of July this year, a news story emerged about a perpetrator throwing a firework into a nightclub, while another incident involved another suspect who performed a "drive-by" style assault by throwing fireworks from his truck at a family during a get together at their home.
A video clip recently surfaced of a man approaching a pick-up truck occupied by an individual in the middle of the street before casually tossing a firework inside. Instead of immediately jumping out of the truck, the driver reacted by closing his door. Thus, locking himself inside seconds before a devastating explosion went off. The visual sent shockwaves throughout the area as bystanders could be heard screaming during the on-camera ordeal. Information about whether or not the driver survived the explosion/sustained serious injuries is scarce.
