Update 07/10/2023 11:23am:
Previously, Casanova spoke out after receiving 15 years in prison for racketeering and drug charges. The artist said, “Everything to the chin, Nothing to the heart. GET IT NOW. I hope that don’t go over ya heads.” Now, news surfaced noting Casanova has formally appealed his sentence.
Cas’ lawyer James Kousouros revealed the news, and the appeal was reportedly filed on July 7. Previously, Casanova renounced being an Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation member and clarified that he was disassociating from the gang. According to Kousouros, Casanova denouncing ties to the Gorilla Stone Nation should have reduced his sentence.
Reports then noted that Casanova was attacked in the Essex County Correctional Facility following renouncing ties with the gang. Following the gesture from Casanova, the judge still gave the rapper 15 years in prison. Stay tuned for more updates.
