Tony Yayo recently sat down with Drink Champs and spoke with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN for five hours. During that time, Yayo addressed numerous topics, including the safety of New York rappers, along with the dangers of drill music.

Yayo briefly spoke on the luck of NY rappers, saying, “New York, it’s like we almost cursed. We always have bad luck with our rappers. They either get RICO’d or killed.

The G-Unit rapper then spoke on Pop Smoke, saying, “Pop Smoke — like, I wish he would have stayed in the hotel over the Airbnb.” He continued saying, “Rest in peace. But that kinda f**ked New York up. New York was coming back, bro. We had Pop Smoke, we had all these drill n***as startin’…A Boogie. But Pop was…you know…”

From there, Yayo spoke about drill music, saying, “Now, New York is worse than Chicago. And California, with the drill, because n***as is throwing like n***as dead friends in there.” The rapper then said, “When we had battle raps with Ja Rule and them, n***as was still alive,” before saying, “But there’s no remorse with the drill music. N***as shooting little kids.” Watch above at the 16:00 mark.
