For hardcore fans of the late XXXTentacion and the SoundCloud rap era that he spearheaded, Ski Mask the Slump God represents an emotional sentiment that will always remind them of the generation-defining artist who passed away in 2018. Ski Mask the Slump God was widely known as XXXTentacion's hype man at live shows and best friend long before they were famous. Today, Ski Mask the Slump God remains a fixture on streaming platforms, averaging over 10 million monthly plays on Spotify. He's also maintained a solid following as a touring artist.
Last weekend, the Boward County, Florida native performed a live set at the Openair Frauenfeld Festival in Switzerland. At one point during his show, Ski Mask the Slump God was joined by a fan on stage, who notified his fellow attendees that he was going to attempt a stage dive into the crowd. The on-camera incident clearly shows Ski Mask the Slump God informing the crowd that his fan was about to attempt the jump. Moments later, the fan gave himself a running start before gliding through the air and crashing landing on the ground because no one bothered to break his fall, which is the customary thing to do during a stage dive attempt. In contrast, the botched stage dive attempt could also be attributed to the fan mistiming his leap, because he appeared to jump over the crowd, making a proper landing harder to execute.
