YNW Melly's trial resumed this week, and on Tuesday, YNW Melly's mother, Jamie King, showed up to court with a bodyguard. According to Terri Austin from Law & Crime, YNW Melly's mother was offered additional security from a judge, but her bodyguard was determined to provide enough security.
Austin also revealed that the extra security measures involving King were deemed necessary after YNW Juvy's sister allegedly threatened King online. It's unclear what the exact threats were.
Florida prosecutors have accused YNW Melly of killing his friends YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser in a 2018 shooting and staging it as a drive-by shooting. Melly's co-defendant, YNW Bortlen, will be tried separately in October.
