A story out of Miami involving a 6-year-old girl fighting off a would-be kidnapper has made the rounds online, as she was able to flee the man after biting him.
The little girl, who goes by Lyric, was interviewed by Miami's WPLG Local 10, and she detailed how she fought off the man who approached her while she was playing with her siblings in the courtyard of their apartment complex. Lyric says that the man grabbed her, and she started screaming, which led to him hitting her in the face and knocking her to the ground. From there, Lyric bit the man, who then fled the scene.
Lyric stated, "I bit him. He picked me up and then he slapped me. Then he threw me on the floor and started running."
Police later arrested Leonardo Venegas, who was charged with kidnapping and child abuse.
