The Weeknd broke Michael Jackson's record for the highest-grossing tour ever by a Black artist with his "After Hours Til Dawn" Tour, which has grossed over $350 million in revenue. Jackson previously held the record for his "Bad" tour in 1987, which made $311 million after adjusting for inflation.
After surpassing The King of Pop, The Weeknd took to Twitter to pay homage to MJ by sharing a video of him performing his rendition of the Michael Jackson hit, "Dirty Diana." He captioned the video, "[My] king. [Then], now and forever. [Rest] easy."
While The Weeknd is bringing in an impressive amount for his tour, Elton John has taken the spot for the highest-grossing tour. His "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour brought in a whopping $910 million over 320 shows.
