Lil Wayne recently sat down with the Pivot podcast, where he was asked about his mother wanting him to have a baby when he was just 14.
Wayne explained that people in New Orleans "have a different understanding," and he went on to state that his mother asking him to have a kid was no different than asking him to go to the store. He added that he knew what his mother was going through after his father's death, and Wayne stated that he had just signed a national record deal.
Wayne then spoke about how going on his first tour left his mother lonely, which is when she made the request. Wayne added that he was understanding, as he told his mother, "That's nothing. Let's do this." Wayne would go on to have his first child, his daughter Reginae, at just sixteen.
