From iconic CEOs like Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, Phil Knight, Oprah Winfrey, and Mark Zuckerberg to entertainers such as Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Robert Downey Jr., Jennifer Lopez, and Denzel Washington--the influence of American curators remains a global phenomenon that has impacted fashion, street slangs, television/film and music all over the world. On the flip side, overexposure to American pop culture without context has prompted many communities abroad to categorize American citizens strictly based on stereotypes.

Buzzfeed recently published a writeup featuring AI-generated photos of what Europeans think Americans look like, state to state. Some of the images, like the California picture, portray Americans as spoiled and laid back, while pictures representing other regions, like Florida, Massachusetts, and Michigan, are far less flattering.
