In the fall of 2018, YNW Melly's associates, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser, were shot and killed in Miramar, Florida. Upon an investigation, law enforcement determined that the "Mixed Personalities" rapper/singer was their primary suspect in the execution-style shootings. Shortly after being arrested in 2019, prosecutors stated their intentions to seek the death penalty for a crime that the defendant plead not guilty to.
The murder trial of YNW Melly began on June 12th. Monday was the final day of the controversial legal proceedings. The prosecution team may have just delivered an overwhelming blow to the defendant because they submitted his ‘I Did That, Shh’ text to the jury claiming that it is an admission of guilt.
