In the 1930s, an infamous bank robber from Chicago named "Baby Face" Nelson made national headlines with daring criminal acts such as stealing jewelry from the Mayor's wife and pillaging several financial institutions from his hometown across the nation to Michigan and California. Eventually, "Baby Face" landed on the raider of the FBI as "public enemy number one" before they finally took him down in a culminating gunfight just outside of Chicago.
Nearly a century later, the FBI has honed in on a new bank robber who's been making a name for himself in the Houston area with a string of crimes while dressed as a woman. Nicknamed the "Sticky Note Bandit," the unidentified man has ransacked four banks (Bank of America, Hancock Whitney Bank, and two Wells Fargo Banks) in Houston within the past 14 days. The "Sticky Note Bandit" started the criminal activity related to this case on July 5th. His latest crime occurred today at Bank of America, where he reportedly handed a bank teller a sticky note demanding cash. According to the FBI, the suspect has worn the same outfit and wig for each of his signature bank robberies. He remains at large.
