Davonte Pack, Ja Morant's childhood friend and former AAU basketball teammate, has been arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (Tennessee) for his involvement physical altercation that occurred at the home of the Memphis Grizzlies star on July 26, 2022. The accuser is an 18-year-old high school basketball phenom from Oak Hill Academy named Joshua Holloway. He was a minor at the time of the incident, and he claims that he was battered and threatened with a gun by Morant and Pack.
Although no criminal charges have been filed against Morant, Holloway's lawsuit against him is pending. Ja Morant countered Holloway's legal action by filing a lawsuit against him on Wednesday. Holloway will play college basketball for Samford University this Fall.
