Drake recently was interviewed by Bobbi Althoff, with clips of their interview going viral due to their slightly awkward exchanges. Now, the rapper has seemingly revealed why he goes by Drake instead of his name—Aubrey Graham.
At one point in the interview, Althoff said, “Aubrey’s not a guy’s name,” with Drake replying, “Yes it is.” She then asked, “Have you ever met a male Aubrey?” Drake responded by saying, “Yeah, you’re looking at him.”
Althoff joked with Drake, saying, “You don’t even go by that because it’s such a bad name.” Drake laughed, then said, “No, that’s not true… [I go by Drake] because it’s shorter. You know, people with two syllables are way less successful than people with one.” Watch their exchange above.
