Since the 2010s, Barack Obama's music playlists have become yearly fixtures that showcase his eclectic music taste, his feel for the classics, his appreciation for international songwriters, and his knowledge of tracks created by the youngest generation of stars. In 2015, Obama's Christmas lists featured Grammy-Award-winning acts like Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and Stevie Wonder. Last year, the 44th U.S. President included Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Rosalia, Kendrick Lamar, Jack White, and Harry Styles in Summer Playlist.
On Thursday, Obama dropped his Summer playlist for 2023. This time around, the 61-year-old named Latin America's hottest solo artist, Peso Pluma, to the celebrated list, along with Brox rapper Ice Spice, 2Pac, The Rolling Stones, Luke Combs, and more.
