According to reports, Florida A&M has suspended all activities related to football after rapper Real Boston Richey shot a music video for “Send a Blitz” in the football team’s locker room without permission.
The decision was announced by Coach Willie Simmons, who said noted FAMU was investigating how the rapper accessed the room to shoot the video and the usage of licensed FAMU apparel that violates agreements.
Simmons’ statement said he supported freedom of speech and expression through music. However, the language used by Richey in the video isn’t “consistent with Florida A&M’s core values, principles, and beliefs,” according to the coach. Stay tuned for more updates.
