ESPN soccer analyst Shaka Hislop is recovering after shocking viewers when he collapsed during a live broadcast of AC Milan’s friendly match with Real Madrid at the Rose Bowl in California on Sunday (July 23)

Hislop could be seen swaying while speaking with ESPN’s Dan Thomas, who rushed to Hislop's aid after he nearly fell on top of Thomas during the incident. The broadcast cut to a commercial quickly after, leaving viewers to question if Hislop was okay on social media.

While it's unknown what led to Hislop collapsing, Thomas provided an update on Twitter, writing, "Shaka is conscious. The medics are looking after him." Thomas then spoke during the broadcast, stating, "As you can imagine, seeing that happen live, there can’t be many more things that can scare you amongst a family, but we spoke to his wife, and things are looking OK."
