According to reports, Oklahoma District 23 Judge Traci Soderstrom is under fire after being caught on camera scrolling through her phone for "hours" during the murder trial of 2-year-old boy.

Soderstrom can be seen reading text messages, searching for GIFs, and scrolling down her timeline on social media in the courtroom surveillance video. This, of course, after Soderstrom told those inside the courtroom to turn off their electronics to focus on the evidence presented.

The New York Post reports that the "Oklahoma Council on Judicial Complaints has opened an investigation into Soderstrom’s actions after the council received the video from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office."

“Jurors are banned from using cellphones in the courtroom during trials because we expect them to give their full time and attention to the evidence being presented,” said District Attorney Adam Panter. “I would expect and hope the court would hold itself to the same standard required of the jurors, regardless of the type of case.”
