Whether intentional or unintentional, the marketing machine behind the late King Von has been hard at work since the July 14th release of his second posthumous album, Grandson. Shortly after the LP dropped, old footage of King Von saying he was gay to get moved to PC during a stint behind bars at Cook County Jail (Chicago) began to trend online. The viral clip has been a highly debated topic where his former colleagues, such as THF Zoo, have defended his honor while others, like his ex-girlfriend, indicated that King Von's actions were merely tactical to outsmart his enemies in jail.
In a recent interview with Cam Capone News, South Side Chicago Rapper Lil Reese was asked to share his thoughts on the viral clip of his old friend. Lil Reese attempted to provide fans with more context regarding the King Von footage by stating that the late rapper was just joking, saying, "He was just trying to get moved to a new deck, so that's what you gotta do sometimes."
