A rapper named Lil Rae (From YC The Label) is facing murder charges for gunning down Bre'Asia Powell at a graduation party near Benjamin E. Mays High School. According to reports, the 16-year-old was not the shooter's indeed target. Nevertheless, the tragic incident involving the innocent bystander comes amid a violent Summer in Fulton County that the Atlanta Police Department has attempted to de-escalate with a crackdown on local gangs called "Operation Heatwave."
In addition to the murder charge, Lil Rae (aka Tsenre Mosely) is also being formally accused of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Thus far, the Atlanta Polie Department has arrested three suspects in the murder of Bre'Asia Powell.
