A$AP Bari was trending on Tuesday (August 1) night after a video surfaced of him getting jumped in Harlem, and he's now addressing the situation on his Instagram Stories.
Bari claims he was jumped after knocking out a guy who stole a chain from his car two years ago. Bari explained that he saw the guy while he was in Harlem, and he seized the opportunity for retaliation.
After knocking out the guy, Bari says that the guy's friends jumped in to avenge him, which is where the video picked up. You can read the full statement above.

ASAP Bari has had trouble avoiding scandal in recent years after a run of being considered one of the most popular tastemakers in Hip Hop. Now, it seems the streetwear designer can't avoid issues in his hometown.
A recent video shows the ASAP Mob and Vlone co-founder engaged in a physical altercation with one man before others join in. The video shows Bari and another man preparing to fight as bystanders cheer on the unidentified male. As Bari moves in to engage, another man punches him from behind before he turns around and is hit from behind by a third male. Eventually, another male and female get in between Bari and his attackers before the clip ends.
The fight reportedly took place on a basketball court in his hometown, Harlem. The incident is the latest in a string of unfortunate events since ASAP Bari was involved in a sexual assault case in 2017. Since then, he's been fired from Vlone, and ASAP Rocky recently dissed him during his recent Rolling Loud set.
