Heading into the long-awaited welterweight showdown between Terence "Bud" Crawford (40-0) and Errol Spence Jr. (28-1), many boxing experts touted the match as a generational defining occasion similar to Hagler vs. Hearns in 1985. But, unlike that classic matchup nearly three decades ago, Crawford vs. Spence Jr. was a bludgeoning that resulted in the new undisputed champion landing 50% of his punches before scoring a TKO in the ninth round. In the days that followed the impressive showing by Crawford, speculation began to arise about his next opponent. While a rematch with Spence Jr. and a dream bout with Gervonta "Tank" Davis have been hypothesized, another name that pundits have thrown out there is Jaron "Boots" Ennis (31-0), the man who currently ranks #3 in the welterweight division right behind Spence Jr. The proposition of a potential matchup between Crawford and Ennis was recently brought to the champ's attention during an online chat with Wallo, the co-host of The Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

"You're a f*cking MONSTER!!! Got Dam!!!" Wallo wrote.

"Appreciate it," replied Crawford.

"You know BOOTS waiting!!!" Wallo wrote.

The champ promptly responded with a brutally honest rebuttal about Ennis, amusing that the exchange would remain between.

"Y'all trying to see another dead body," responded Crawford, implying that a fight with Ennis could end similar to his recent bout with Spence Jr.

Shortly after that, Wallo posted screenshots of his exchange with Crawford, which prompted the champ to respond with stern commentary on the matter via Twitter.

"That’s some weak as s**t [Wallo]. I don’t do s**t like that I stand on everything I do or say. But for you to text with me that fake ass s**t then post s**t for attention is definitely not G. That’s clown ass s**t at its finest.”
