Update 08/04/2023 5:18am:

According to TMZ, one of the accusers in the lawsuit against Lizzo actually sang her praises after the alleged harassment was to have taken place. Arianna Davis said in a video from April 2023 obtained by TMZ: "It's been so amazing and such a beautiful journey. I look up to her so much. I just want to follow in her footsteps, and I just want to share that with the Queen Lizzo herself."

In response, Lizzo's lawyer pointed out "These do not sound like the words of someone who was harassed or discriminated against by someone they described as 'THE QUEEN."

Davis has since come out to clarify her words in the video. "Right up until the last minute I didn't realize how bad it was and how much I was being taken advantage of. I just genuinely wanted to save my job. This video further explains how much I was trying to please Lizzo."

Lizzo released a public statement addressing the allegations brought against her in a lawsuit filed by three of her former backup dancers earlier this week. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday (August 1), and it accuses Lizzo of creating a hostile work environment, weight-shaming, and sexual harassment.

In her statement, Lizzo called the allegations against her "false," and while she stated that she doesn't usually respond to things like this, she feels like the allegations "are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed."
