News surfaced that NASCAR driver Noah Gragson was suspended indefinitely by his stock car team—Legacy Motor Club.
The driver was supposed to drive at the FireKeepers Casino 400 in Michigan but was replaced by driver Josh Berry. The switch happened after Gragson reportedly liked a meme that mocked George Floyd, an unarmed Black man who had a knee placed on his neck by a former police officer, resulting in the man’s death.
Legacy Motor Club firmly stood against Gragson’s actions, saying they “do not represent the values of our team.” Gragson apologized via Twitter, saying, “I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media. I understand the severity of this situation. I love and appreciate every one. I try to treat everyone equally no matter who they are. I messed up, plain and simple.” Take a look above.
