In light of recent remarks made during their respective VladTV interviews conducted by Gloria Velez, Ne-Yo and TK Kirkland found themselves caught in the ire of Jason Lee.
According to Jason, the conversations Ne-Yo and TK had around the LGBTQ+ community were peddling homophobia and transphobia which led him into a larger discussion about trans and homophobia in the black community.
Jason captioned the original video, in part, "I’m going to stand with the gay community as much as I stand with the black community and culture. Equally. Both fights are the same. Black folks peddling homophobia or the “they don’t need a pride month” etc is the same as then white folks say we don’t need affirmative action, Juneteenth, black history month, or black history in schools. Y’all sound stupid and ridiculous."
