Recently, TDE artist Reason appeared on the ‘BackOnFigg’ podcast and seemingly had a viral exchange with TDE President Anthony “Moosa” Tiffith Jr. after the rapper revealed he wasn’t happy with the rollout of his ‘Porches’ album.

Reason said he had features lined up for his project that never got executed, including Latto and EST Gee. “Took too long to get through to EST Gee and his people and be like, ‘Yo, this is what we wanna do.’ By the time we ended up connecting with him and reaching out, he dropped a record with Future and the record went crazy. Now, the feature is $25,000 more than what it already was.” said Reason.

Moosa ended up calling into the stream to discuss what Reason said, and went in on the rapper. “Aye, Dave, [Kendrick Lamar], I love them n****s. Dave never wanted us to sign Reason. He called him a substitute teacher. Dot only said Reason had talent, but it’s gon’ take more than just talent in this game right now and everybody know that.” said Moosa. Another comment made by Moosa found him saying, “Can you name 10 Reason songs?”

Since then, Reason took to Twitter to address the viral moment, saying, “I appreciate ppl that’s reached out to me. Trust I’m as good as I can be. We’ll have a real convo at some point about what happened, just trust that wasn’t a “rollout move” lol that actually happened!

“All positive energy as of now moving forward tho! Porches Friday! Love y’all!” said the rapper.
