In this clip, Vlad shared with Aries Spears his life experiences and perspectives surrounding dating, relationships, and his affinity for black women. Vlad revealed that 95% of his relationships have been with black women, stating that his first serious relationship was with a black woman, which impacted his subsequent relationships. Vlad, who is a Russian immigrant, conveyed his experience of living in a mixed community while studying at Berkeley, which expanded his horizons. Responding to the allegations of being a "cultural vulture," Vlad claimed his work in recording life stories of important black figures benefits black culture. He ended the interview expressing disappointment over not being able to cover the life story of recently deceased Mutulu Shakur, due to a middleman's interference.
