The "chair shot" in pro wrestling has become so famous in the past three decades that the act is now a part of pop culture. Today, when an everyday person physically assaults another civilian by hitting them with a chair, spectators often make pro wrestling references regarding the incident. In recent weeks, the most famous "chair shot" outside of a pro wrestling ring came during the rowdy "Riverboat Brawl," when a man wearing a black top and a white baseball cap swooped in and cleaned house by cracking a few participants over the head with a white folding chair. A video clip surfaced this week of a physical altercation in Detriot where a man could be seen back-peddling while swinging a folding chair and a man who was charging right at him. After connecting on a few "chair shots" to the back, the chair-wielding man delivered a KO with a hellacious blow to his combatant's head.
