Ali talks about the demise of a group member, Goldie, who struggled with a drug habit and passed away. The conversation shifted to their contract with an independent label, a deal which was later criticized due to its unfavorable conditions. The last member to sign the deal was Nelly. Ali vehemently denies accusations claiming that he persuaded others to sign the deal. Contrary to this, he pin pointed the sheer necessity of the deal at that time, primarily for gaining free studio time, which enabled them to improve their skills. He further implies that this "bad deal" led Nelly to break records, despite the initial financial loss. He further explained his rationale for accepting the contract, stating that it was merely a stepping stone and a chance that they had to take.
