In late July, Jeanie Buss, the owner/president of the Los Angeles Lakers, revealed the team's plans to retire LeBron's jersey after he enters the Hall of Fame. The NBA's All-Time leading scorer propelled the Lakers to their 16th championship after the "NBA Bubble Season" in 2020. However, when it comes to the Lakers' all-time leading scorer, Kobe Bryant, the team is planning something far more extravagant in his honor. According to reports, the late Kobe Bean Bryant will join Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, and legendary broadcaster Chick Hearn as the only former Lakers to have been awarded a bronze statue at Crypto.com Arena. The figure will also include his daughter, Gigi Bryant, who the world also lost to a helicopter accident on January 26, 2020.

The staff at Basketball Forever recently posted an impressive replica of what the statue of "The Black Mamba" and "Mambacita" could potentially look like. Check it out above.
