He also shares his own experience of being charged wrongfully, citing several due process violations. He recounts enduring a five-month solitary confinement period, as well as being placed in general population with inmates he arrested as a cop. Hicks argues the treatment he received wasn't common for other law enforcement officers, calling for a change in the system.
