50 Cent recently took to Instagram and revealed that he was honored with his own day in Connecticut.

50, a former resident of the state, said: “Today (August 11) was officially Curtis 50 Cent Jackson day in Hartford, CT. The energy was so good, it made me remember why I moved to CT.”

The rapper’s time in Connecticut found him purchasing the estate of Mike Tyson for $4 million after Tyson reportedly declared bankruptcy. The home had 52 rooms—21 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms. It also included an indoor basketball court, pool, hot tub, and recording studio.  The space at the estate amounted to 50,000 square feet.
